Database Administration Engineer for Biodiversity and the Environment (M/F)
The IRD is recruiting, via an external competitive selection process, a design engineer specialising in biodiversity and environmental database management for the CBGP (permanent contract based in Montpellier).
Reporting to an INRAE research engineer who designed part of the existing databases, an INRAE design engineer in charge of the ‘Collections’ technical platform, and in collaboration with the unit’s IT specialist, your role will be to maintain, upgrade and develop information systems (PostgreSQL/PostGIS databases and web interfaces written in Python) designed to organise and make the most of the data produced by the CBGP’s research programmes in health ecology and agroecology.
