Responsible for chemical waste disposal
Member of the Sustainable Development Group

I am a molecular biology technician and I manage the molecular biology laboratory. I am responsible for the disposal of chemical waste generated by the laboratory.

I work with Gael Kergoat et Emmanuelle Jousselin, two research directors at the CBGP, from SPE and ECODIV respectively.

My work focuses on molecular biology approaches to generate the genetic data required for studies in phylogenetics/phylogenomics, genomics, and barcoding/metabarcoding. I work primarily with insect model organisms (aphids, beetles, neuropterans and lepidopterans).

I use Illumina technologies to develop high-throughput sequencing protocols:

  1. 16S bacterial sequencing on MiSeq to identify aphid endosymbionts (Wolbachia, Serratia, etc.).
  2. Amplicon sequencing (COI, 12S) on MiSeq for several groups of beetle species (Tenebrionidae, Neuroptera)
  3. Shotgun sequencing on NovaSeq to obtain whole genomes of several species of beetles (Spodoptera, weevils, etc.)

Another part of my role involves working on the BM platform, specifically in waste management and coordination, and I am also involved in the CBGP’s Sustainable Development Group.
