My research focuses on the spatial ecology of forest insects and aims to gain a better understanding of the environmental factors that determine the spatial distribution of populations. I work primarily at two scales: the landscape scale and the continental scale, which corresponds to species’ ranges. Ecological processes often differ, as do the timescales over which they operate, and as a result these two approaches are complementary.
