I study the ecology and evolution of crop-damaging insects using genetic, genomic and behavioural ecology tools. I am interested in the evolution and adaptation of natural populations, particularly in terms of the specialisation of insects to their host plants. I am also developing projects to assess the sustainability of pest management methods using trap crops, odour compounds and/or traps to manipulate and reduce the egg-laying rate of insects on the plant to be protected.
