Axel BOURDONNÉ

Assistant engineer, INRAE

Area(s)

Technical platform(s)

Axel is continuing his work as part of the ANR (PRC AgroBiodiv project) and Ecophyto II+ (GTP-STEP project) initiatives, focusing on the links between agricultural practices and biodiversity at the edges of farmland. He is responsible for receiving, sorting and cataloguing in the laboratory’s database beetle samples from the edges of agricultural plots across France. These samples (species communities) will be photographed and prepared for molecular metabarcoding analyses.

At the same time, Axel is involved in building barcode databases by photographing reference specimens (vouchers) and preparing them for inclusion in the reference collections. He is also responsible for linking molecular identifications to individual abundances based on photographs of the communities.
