I am researching the systematics and evolution of insects in tropical agrosystems using traditional approaches based on morphology (taxonomy) and molecular tools (resolving species complexes, evolutionary history, and high-throughput community identification).

My research focuses on weevils (beetles of the family Curculionidae), some of which are crop pests, pollinators or agents of biological control against invasive plants.

Keywords: Integrative systematics, taxonomy, agrosystems, Curculionidae beetles
