Iliana has been recruited to the EcoControl project (PEPR AgroEcoNum). One of the project’s objectives is to improve our understanding of the interaction networks between olive trees, pests and natural enemies, in order to identify agroecological strategies that enhance natural pest control.

Iliana will take part in field data collection campaigns (a network of olive plots located around Montpellier), monitoring the emergence of parasitoids on SEPA, photographing communities of arthropods and beneficial insects of interest to train an AI model, as well as sorting samples and placing them on extraction plates for barcoding.
