Svitlana étudie les effets phénotypiques de différents variants de la bactérie endosymbiotique Wolbachia sur son hôte, Drosophila suzukii. Elle a obtenu un financement Marie Curie MSCA4Ukraine de 2 ans. Elle travaille principalement avec Candice Deschamps, Arnaud Estoup, Mathieu Gautier, Anne Loiseau et Nicolas Rode.
